Sqn Ldr Adnan Siraj was commissioned in the Education Branch of Pakistan Air Force in July, 1997. He holds a Master's degree in English Literature and has an ardent love for painting aircraft on canvas. He has had a fascination for aviation since long and has earned reputation as an aviation artist through his hard work and dedication. For his passion to paint the history of PAF on canvas, coupled with his exquisite artistic flair and unique style as a self-taught artist, his work has been recognized by some of the world's renowned aviation artists like Keith Ferris, R.G Smith, Bill Philips, and Ronald Wong etc. He is also a Foreign Affiliate Artist Fellow of the American Society of Aviation Artists. He has made significant contributions to the PAF in preserving and projecting its history. Some of his innovative design creations include colour schemes of different PAF aircraft for National ceremonies including the JF-17 Thunder in China/Pakistan flag for the first public appearance on 23rd March,2007, historical events of different PAF flying squadrons on canvas, titles of various PAF books and magazines and the Air Force Medallion and crest for the CAS. One of his paintings was also selected for the Lockheed Martin's Code One magzine "Art of the F-16" issue.
Presently he is working at Air headquarters as the official artist of the PAF and continues to project the image of Air Force through paintings and sketches.
