PAKISTAN AND ROYAL SAUDI AIR FORCES CONDUCT JOINT EXERCISE "AL SAQOOR-II"
ISLAMABAD 16 January, 2010:
PAF and RSAF (Royal Saudi Air Force) are conducting a joint air power employment exercise code name "Al Saqoor-II" in Saudi Arabia. The joint exercise commenced on 06 January and is planned to be completed by 19 January, 2011. PAF contingent comprises F-16 and Mirage aircraft, while RSAF element consists of F-15 aircraft are participating in the exercise in which air operations are being executed in near realistic environment. The exercise will benefit both participants and hone their professional skills and further enhance existing brotherly relations between the two nations and their Air Forces. It will also enable the personnel of the two brotherly air forces to become familiar and come closer to each other.
Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force visited Saudi Arabia on 15 December, 2010 to meet the participating personnel of the two air forces. He also flew in a PAF F-16 to participate in the air operations. PAF Air Chief was warmly welcomed by the Chief of the Royal Saudi Air Force, Gen Mohammad Abdullah Al-Aish. The two Air Chiefs discussed matters of professional interest and means to further enhance the cooperation between the two air forces personnel.
